FAQs
What does CO2e mean?
Your results are shown in CO2e, carbon emissions equivalent, which is the most common way of summarising greenhouse gas emissions.
Why does the price seem so high?
The price shown is a maximum price and does not include discounts or savings from backloads which can have a saving of up to 65% on the haulage price as well as additional environmental savings that you can see if you sign up to our detailed sustainability reports.
How have you compared recycled and virgin aggregates against your own?
Our recycled aggregates have gone through a rigorous Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verification by BRE which means we know exactly what our emissions are. The Scottish Government has an indices of the CO2e emissions for a wide range of products, including recycled and virgin aggregates. We have used these figures and compared them against the results from our third party verified LCA and EPD results.
How does your sustainability reporting work?
As one of our customers, we can give you tailored sustainability reports per project or for a set time period. The reports include the carbon emissions from our products, transportation and details of savings from backloads and your choice of products versus their virgin equivalent and the average for recycled aggregates. Results you can count on with no more guestimating. Get in touch with our team to find out more.
